Nico

Team Captain and Lead Designer

Hi! I am a senior at Classical Academy High School and I'm passionate about math, science, and innovation. I have been on Roboctopi since I cofounded it 8 years ago, and I'm really grateful for the community of brilliant people that I get to collaborate with to create an amazing robot! When I'm not designing the next robot, I enjoy competing in academic league, flying drones, hiking, biking, cubing, and playing chess.

I am a junior at High Tech High School and love cats, programming and playing the piano. I also enjoy physics, encryption, AI neural nets and playing Kerbal Space Program.

Hey-o! My name is Seth and I am 16 years old. I'm currently a senior at Classical Academy High School. I'm a coder, and the team's tech troubleshooter. I'm also the self-appointed team comedian. I enjoy playing video games and hanging out with my friends. My favorite games are the Portal series and Last Call BBS.

Hello! I am a senior in high school and have been a part of the team for 5 years. I enjoy a multitude of activities including fencing, art, robotics, and coaching.

Hi, I'm Caleb. I am a senior at Classical Academy High School. I am a part of my school’s academic league, TEDX club, ASB, and FCA. I also love going to church, playing guitar, and hanging out with friends. I love robotics and have been a part of the team for 5 years now.

I am a sophmore at High Tech High. I also am a member of the Roboctopi team where I primary work on software. I am interested in programming, CAD, CNC Manufacturing, electronics, and 3d Printing. Some of my other hobbies are gaming, practicing martial arts, and playing guitar. As of now, I have been a part of Roboctopi for around 52,184,029 seconds.

Hi, I'm a junior at High Tech High, where I work on a mix of hard and software, as well as driving on Roboctopi. I am passionate about engineering and manufacturing, and some of my hobbies include practicing martial arts and working on projects.

Hi! I'm Grace. This is my 4th year in Robotics and my 2nd year on RoboctoPI. I am part of the Hardware and Design Team. I am also the main Scouter and the President of our SWE Next Chapter.

I am passionate about gaming and virtual reality software development as well as 3D graphic design. Now in my third year of FTC, I have enjoyed learning JAVA, programming and engineering. Robotics has expanded my computer programming skills beyond game development by providing me the opportunity to learn how software and hardware interact.

I am a senior in high school and this is my 11th year competing with FIRST and my first year on Team RoboctoPi. I have been a part of all aspects of FIRST Robotics from programming, outreach, business, and mechanical. FIRST has inspired me to pursue my passion for Mechanical Engineering following graduation. I have a heart for reaching teams that are underserved and bringing FIRST to the communities that RoboctoPi mentors. I'm excited for my senior and final FIRST year, and I look forward to serving the robotic community and building fun, competitive robots!

Hi, I'm Kate. I'm a junior at Del Norte High School passionate about mathematics and engineering, especially towards environmental solutions (like biomimicry). I also love building things, piano, photography, and badminton.

I am an 8th grade student at The Classical Academy.

I have completed four successful years in FLL lego robot and one year of First Tech Challenge. I am very passionate about engineering and enjoy learning alongside my coaches and team members. I do many different activities outside of robotics. I love horseback riding and studying meteorology/atmospheric sciences.

I am a builder of products, companies and teams currently working on digital experience monitoring products at Palo Alto Networks. I have been a coach and mentor for Team Roboctopi for six years.

I am an avid maker, time traveler, and Game Developer for Activision working on the best-selling Call of Duty franchise. This is my 6th year as a mentor and coach.

Doug

Doug Powell is an IT professional leading the design, acquisition, deployment, and management of enterprise computer network systems in the Defense and Federal sectors. This is his 7th year as a FIRST robotics coach.
